CD is a place I often think of turning to when Im sad or excited or angry or just because I saw a great movie. Its great to have you all around when needed. It reminds of that commercial for cell phones where the guy has that whole network of people behind him where ever he goes. Yep thats what CD reminds me of.
Hi, Crew!

I love your analogy! I thought of this group often while I was in CA and that's a perfect example of what this MO forum group means to me!

Thanks for sharing it,

A third vote for Kim from me!

As for you, Mrs. G., I'm glad you got to and from California OK. When you get a chance, please let us know how your trip went, and the latest skinny on your mom--we all want to know!

The NorCal Catholic Charismatic Convention in Santa Clara was wonderful! I've been keeping you and your family in my prayers this whole time.

Unhappy Mrs. G.'s Mom Has Gone Home--R.I.P.

Mrs. Genealogy is back from her trip to California. In the OTFCC Part 2 thread (Springfield-Branson forums), she wrote that her mom has gone home to be with God. It seems like this past month, with our unfolding California drought, Missouri stormy weather, Mrs. Chilicook's husband Ed passing away, and now Mrs. G's loss, has been very rough to say the least.

I'm praying for the peaceful repose of Mrs. G's mom's soul, and for healing and peace the world doesn't know but only God does, for the whole Genealogy and Chilicook families ( ). Psalm 136 tells us to "give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His steadfast love (or mercy, depending upon your translation) endures forever. In the book of James, chapter 1, verse 2 and following, he tells us, "Count it all joy... when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." That can be awfully, awfully hard during a time like this. Just never forget, Mrs. C and Mrs. G that you both have a great network of friends from near and far who will never hesitate to come to your aid and give you strength and support. Please be well and take care! My invitation for any of you to send me a direct message if you feel the need, certainly still stands. I've never met you guys in person, but darn I'm feeling heavy-hearted right now.

Have been so busy I haven't had the time to get on here, but, thanks to leg cramps that wouldn't stop, I am up this morning with time to spare.

So sorry to here about the loses of Mrs. C. and Mrs G. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
NBE. you show so much faith and compassion for all of us. I tried to rep you but must spread the love around.

I will be so glad when we get done with our neighbors addition and I can stay home and catch up with all my CD family.

Take care.

I'm so blessed by all my wonderful friends that have posted or DM'd me! NBEric, tambre, MamaG & kareybear...and all the rest...thank you! I definitely don't feel like I'm going through this alone.

Today, I got back to the business of living. I cooked, cleaned and did laundry, RSVP'd to attend a Chamber of Commerce luncheon, started printing fliers and paid bills. Whew! And I'm still behind! But I must admit to feeling proud of myself for getting back on track. Time is a gift and I plan to start using my time better. I hope it's not like those new year resolutions where it doesn't stick but even if I don't continue, at least it will continue for awhile to get me through my days with a positive attitude and goals to meet.

Still all 20 417mag contestants as I cast my fourth vote for Kim!

Our realtor had an open house for us yesterday, and we'll find out later this evening if anything comes of it. My next-door neighbor told my wife that a number of people did stop by to take a look at it.

Getting back to a halfway normal daily routine at home and at work is going to feel strange for a little while. My mom has been gone over six years now, but it feels like 15 or 20 to me. New doors will open, and both our moms, Mrs. G. are in the company of the saints in Heaven. They seem really far away to us, but I think we seem close to them. At least I hope so! The same too for Mr. Ed Chilicook (hopefully it's OK if I give him this name!), I hope. Please take good care!

Mrs. G....Yes, it is just as you mentioned, time helps with our losses. I sure hope that after you go through the grieving stages that you can get back to your old self and at some point, think about your Mom and just smile at some memory or another. It does help. Best to you.

Default Time is a gift

Hi Mrs. G.,

Time is a gift. What a wonderful thought. So, make the best of your day everyone, and Mrs. G., your mom would be proud of the steps you are taking, because she would want you to be happy, and to remember her with a smile.

Tambre
