Even if not - some great photos.
Yeah, it runs through Douglas county, and Ozark county into Norfork Lake. I think we were in Ozark county, not far from Rockbridge, the trout fishing resort. We didn't catch anything.
There's some remote areas there, but you'd be surprised at the number of swimmers and fishers that find those places in the summer, especially around any kind of holiday.

Thanks, you two! Ciaerin, that is a great pic you've shared, and I vaguely remember the Kimberling City-Reeds Spring area when my family and I visited Exotic Animal Paradise and Silver Dollar City back around 1980 or 1981. My wife and I miss Missouri terribly, and we're trying to decide whether we can afford to go back there around the Christmas holidays if our house still hasn't sold by then. We last visited in late March, and Mrs. NBE got to see St. Joseph for the first time. Like the rest of the state, St. Joe was lovely when I visited it back in September 2007, and we got there just a little too early in late March for it to come out of its hard winter freeze.

Our air quality has improved a little these past two days--I think it's still Moderate as opposed to Good. A bit hazy, but the sunset was back to its normal brightness yesterday, and the sky is more blue and less ash gray today. There are still over 300 active fires throughout California, with some of the worst ones in Monterey County's Big Sur area (central coast) and up in the town of Paradise, in the northern Sacramento Valley.

We're just committed to making the best of it until our house sells, and/or until I can get hired for good work back there. Keep posting those nice pics, please! As I've said before, we'll never stop wanting to move back to MO!
