We have considered it so many times but I (the wife) is EXTREMELY shy even in the midst of such nice people.

Chichen Itza
The wife and I recently took a trip to Cancun, the highlight was a day trip to
Chichen Itza, the largest of the Mayan ruins. It was a really cool trip that I highly recommend.

Very cool!
What a site! And what a great couple! Thanks for sharing the pics!
My boss and family are in Isla Mujerres right now! They said we can use their house next January, so maybe I can go see the ruins for myself! I've always wanted to do that!

If you can it's worth the bus ride! The craziest thing we learned was about their ball games. The captain of the winning team got his head cut off by the captain of the losing ball team. It was consider a great honor! The stone used in the ceremony is still there, its limestone but is almost black from the iron in all the blood spilled on it thru the years.
