Home For Sale in small SW Mo town (Joplin, Lamar: house, neighborhood)

Although I will be leaving the show me state soon, I wanted to let those of you looking to relocate to a small town, rural area in Missouri that I know about a 3bdrm/2 bath home for sale (not mine). It is located in Lamar (just over 4,000 people) and believe it or not it does have a Super Wal-Mart. Although I live in Joplin now, I lived in Lamar for about 5 years, so I am familiar with the town and schools. The asking price is $105,000, nice neighborhood, large garage/shop in the back, sunk in den with wood stove. They have done lots of new renovations to this house but are moving out in the country, where there is absolutely nothing (my opinion...ha!)

After reading some of the posts from you that are relocating and looking for a home and slower paced living, I thought someone out there might be interested.

It sounds like exactly what we need, but unfortunately we're not quite ready for the move/purchase at the moment. Hope it's still there in a few weeks when we get some news on our future outlook.

The house has not even been listed yet...so there is plenty of time. I believe there finishing up some bathroom remodeling and going to do a few other things. They really have made a lot of improvements to this house. I just thought I'd put the word out there for those that are looking. They said they would be taking pictures too...good opportunity for a sneak peek.
