jeanie I don't believe anyone would argue the fact that there exists a serious meth problem anywhere and everywhere in the world; a lot of these posts are merely speaking out against the stereotype of the "backwoods, uneducated, toothless Missouri meth addict" that seems so prevalent throughout the U.S.
As far as educated idiots go, e.m. forster agrees with you, to a certain extent, when he said:
"As long as learning is connected with earning, as long as certain jobs can only be reached through exams, so long must we take this examination system seriously. If another ladder to employment was contrived, much so-called education would disappear, and no one would be a penny the stupider."
Education is a lifeling process; we are learning from the moment we are born and, taken in that context, I think it's safe to say we are all educated idiots.

Jeanie, I agree that meth is a big problem. Mariesbees got it right when she said we were speaking out against the stereotype that the original poster had of the people here in Missouri.
Mariesbees, I loved your reason for editing.

mamagator I was being facetious. The truth is I was more than a little tipsy and I was happily typing my response, when all of the sudden for no good reason whatsoever my chin hit the keyboard causing an erroneous spelling of em forster.

Thanks, Marie'sBees. Good post. And considering jeanie's misspelling and grammatical errors, I say she fits right in with the rest of us. Joking, for sure. Why, y'all just need to check out some of my posts. I haven't dropped my chin as of yet, but I constantly hit the wrong buttons on this laptop. Whoops,, there I did it again. Have to go back and change things now. Ok, I'm back. now where was I?
Oh, who wants to lick the bowl this time? Just finished with my latest batch. Even threw in some extra chocolate chips. Uhhhhhh, we are talking about cookies, aren't we? Hey, have a good day and stay dry. It's been storming here all night and so far all day.

Y'all done skerred the poor gal off! Normally when a newbie pops into a forum to insult an entire state full of people the thread doesn't make it past page two. Somehow the folks in MO pushed the conversation all the way to the sixth page with nary a post getting deleted If that right there doesn't prove what a great bunch hangs out around here I don't know what else could.

You must be hanging out in the wrong places. I don't do drugs, have a degree in economics, and haven't run into many more "un-educated" people here than I have in other states. Go to Las Vegas...I think they have one of the highest drop out rates for High School than anywhere in the U.S.

HAHAHAHA Dropped it a good foot and a half, I did! I'm actually quite impressed that with as big as my chin is all it did was add an extra "s", could have been so much worse!
I had my neighbors over for some barbequed ribs today and I made a batch of those Nordstrom's cookies, you know the one whose recipe got cirgulated about 10 years ago? My oh my, those are good! Made two dozen and they were all gone!!!
