Default ozark mo

I lived in Ozark for a while, and my inlaws live there now. Its a nice place. However, taxes are higher there than they are in Springfield. You need to stay inside Greene county not to get the high tax amount. as far as gay friendly goes, I havent really heard either way. Moderator cut: realtor advertising

Default Ozark MO

I have some previous posts on here that go into detail about Ozark feel free to look at the postings that I have posted, we have lived in Ozark since 1995 and find it a wonderful place to live and the proximity to Springfield is great, which is where I was born.
Hope this and my other posts help.

springfield has an active gay lesbian organization which would be nice. but, the population as a whole is anti gay; in my opinion. joplin mo used to be pretty tolerant of other viewpoints but that may have changed in the years i have been away. my husband and i moved back to joplin about three years ago and i noticed the gay bars seem to have disappeared...or maybe i am just out of touch. good luck.

Ozark is a great place to live. However it is fairly conservative (as is most of SWMO). There really isn't a large gay community here and there are some people that are not super friendly to the gay community. Joplin is probably a better place. The cost of living in both areas is pretty good, however. Hope that helps.
