Default Yard Mosquito Repellant?

I recall reading someone's post a while ago, where they mixed up somehting and put it in a spray bottle to keep mosquitos away from their yard. I've tried searching all the keywords I could remember and can't come up with the post.

Anyone know what I'm talking about or got any other inexpensive ways of keeping mosquitos out of the yard for a party?

We have had pretty good luck with a circle of tiki torches burning Citronella oil around our pool and tiki bar. There's very little smoke and everything in the circle is pretty well protected. We put the torches about 15 feet apart.

I have heard but have not tried yet that if you spray Listerine around the area it will repel the mosquitos

pffffffffffffftttttttttttttt,,, just wastin your money, and good product - well, unless ya want the skeeters to have fresh breath when they suck your blood!

Just do what I do - swat the largest of 'em, and leave it out as a warning for the other buggers!
