I would just choose Springfield.. It's small compared to where your fron
and the people are great. Were friendly, will help you in anyway and don't expect a thing in return... A great place to live. SPRINGFIELD, MO. USA! |

I have been living in NE TX for 4 years and recently divorced. Thought about moving to D/FW area for a while. Have since changed my mind and want to move to my most favorite place in the world. The hills of Mo/Ark. Table Rock area was where I decided to move to when I retired. That time is here. Think I will leave Texas and all their problems and go where my heart tells me. SW Missouri. I have to continue to work since my wife and her boyfriend relieved me of all my retirement and I can no longer take the Texas attitude and the need to learn espanol. In some areas you are lost using English as your primary language. Time to move on. I can certainly understand your desire to get out of FW.

HI,
My hubby and I are moving to Cabool, it is a small town east of Springfield. It is beautiful, clean and inexpensive to live there. We bought a 1600 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 3 tier deck with pool on 5 acres for $65K. Our taxes are $273 a year. We are in the country but we are only a few miles outside of town. If you are willing to commute to work I would recommend looking into the Cabool area. We fell in love with it. We have talked with several people about the schools and have not heard anything bad. The crime rate is low. It is a beautiful area and the people seem to be real nice. We are about 15-20 minutes from a Super Walmart (in Houston). We have 4 kids and wouldn't think about moving to a place where there was "nothing" to do. There is a YMCA in town, as well as, a super market and other businesses. It will be a change but for the better. We are also coming from the city. This area and the surrounding area have a homey feel to it. We can't wait. Good luck and God Bless. Kim and Jim |

So I am really curious what texasboy decided to move to in Missouri? I am too moving to Missouri but don't know where. My husband is working in Moberly at the plant and I have to girls 4 & 8 years of age. It is really important to find a cheap housing, low crime, good schools and close enough for husband to get home to visit us on the weekend. Any suggestions?
