Shelbina MO 63468 (foreclosed, house, to live)

Could anybody give me any information on Shelbina, i am coming over from England to rehab a foreclosed home i have bought and would like to learn a little of the place. I have spoken to some locals and they seem friendly enough. It does seem a little remote and as i am from a large very liberal city just outside London wonder about cultural differences and well i am not into religion at all , but do fancy a slower paced rural life, for a holiday. I will only be there for a month and if i like it plan to stay longer and bring friend and family to visit next time.

Be sure and go to Clapper's and eat a steak.

You will probably be treated like a celebrity. They don't get many Brits in those parts.

Don't take offense if you get any backhanded compliments. They mean well. It's just that some of them don't get out of the area much. It may sound elitist for me to say something like that, but I was born and raised in the area.

Thanks had a steak at Clappers, and was impressed. But funny thing the dirty old house i was doing up was were the former cook at Clappers used to live, and it was real filthy...
