Default Visiting Lake of the Ozarks

Hey. We'll be visiting Lake of the Ozarks July 1-4.

We've been to Lake of the Ozarks once-a-year for years, but we don't usually spend a lot of time outside the resort (Tan-Tar-A) or the campus (church camp). We've visited the strip before, though it's apparently not near as busy as it used to be (I enjoy the $.10 skiball).

Anyway, we were wondering what are some attractions that may not be as well-known. We have 2 middle-aged people, 2 young people (age 18-23) and a senior citizen. I posted "Visiting Springfield" on that page in case you were wondering. One of our young people (bro-in-law) has to go back home July 1 to work. So, Lake of the Ozarks will just be the 5 of us instead of 6.

Anyway, any ideas of off-the-beaten-path places to visit would be appreciated. We might also visit Big Surf while we're down there.
