Default Children's Museum

Has anyone been to the Children's Museum in St. Louis? We have been to the one on the Navy Pier in Chicago and also the one in Bloominton/Normal. I was just wondering if it was any good or not. I was thinking about a summer road trip with the family and going there and the zoo. We love the zoo. Also a decent hotel, perhaps between the two. I have checked out the museums website and it looks like a tiny house!? Is it fun for the family?

The Magic House? Yes, it's fun. Worth visiting. It is a small house but has at least 3 stories of fun.

It is AWESOME!! The Magic House is in Kirkwood and worth every minute/dime spent. It's really not that small, once you are inside you'll see. The Zoo is fabulous and don't forget Grant's Farm which is Free (pay for parking). Another fine daytrip is the Museum of Transportation. Dont' be fooled- it's outdoors (most of it). If you have a train lover in your family this is the place for you!!! It's relatively inexpensive (4.00 over 5 yrs old).

Another GREAT place is the City Museum. It's so incredible and I don't believe there is anything like it in this country. Pricey, but worth it. Don't worry that it's in the downtown area, you'll be safe!!! Just pay to park in their lot (though we never do).

I am a SAHM so I take my kids to a lot of these places!!!!

For hotels, that is tough. Downtown will cost you more but decent chains (Marriot, Drury, Adams' Mark). Their is a Hampton Inn near the zoo and the Cheshire Inn is also near the zoo. Living here, I don't frequent hotels much!!! But friends of mine stayed at the Cheshire and liked it, and I was at the Drury Inn downtown and it was nice too.

Enjoy your trip to St. Louis. There are so many wonderful places to go with children and it won't break your wallet. You can look any of these sites up online and try family attractions.com to get coupons to these places/ and others.

HTH!!!

Thanks for all of the input. I have been checking all of the places you mentioned. I did not know about any of them!
