Moving to Butler area, don't know where...
Any ideas on the good and bad of this area? I hear the water bills are really high in the city of Butler...what about Adrian, any issues there. Could use some good information on houses and living there.

I could ask my Mom tomorrow. She and Dad lived in Poplar Bluff before I came along, and I have family that lives there now. Poplar Bluff bills might be more than the county's, though.
I could try to help you. What info do you need?
As far as I know, real estate in Butler isn't terribly expensive.
Part of the town is in hills and part and the area south and toward Sikeston is flat. The area is pretty, though.

I'm thinking kcfan is referring to the city of Butler in western MO. StLCards may be thinking of Butler Co, MO where Poplar Bluff is.

Oh that's alright. I thought there might possibly be a community called Butler in Butler Co. that I wasn't aware of.

Utilities outside of Butler city limits are lower, way lower. Butler is highschool, people go to jobs instead of classes. If you don't have the LASTNAME or you are not WEALTHY I wouldn't expect much. The PARENTS have allowed the SCHOOLS to have the power because noone ever ventures far. So most issues are ignored if you are not in the above 2 categories. If you can deal with the gossip, the favoritism, the unfair, the neglected, the ignorance, and lack of compassion or gratitude,
butler is for you. 411: THE LESS THEY KNOW ABOUT YOU, THE SAFER YOU WILL BE. This is gossip USA. If you ever have an issue with the schools, YOU ARE A TAXPAYER! Without you and the other fifteen hundred parents in this district, they wouldn't have jobs. good luck to you.
About me: i grew up in a large city, 5 hundred thousand plus, so small town politics are not my favorite. I try to remember that most folks only know what is here so faulting them would be wrong. That is where gratitude and compassion come in to play. I thank my parents for the gift of giving.
