RASCALS TRY TO DERAIL STREET CAR

Stones placed in the curve of the street railway tracks at Tenth and Powell streets caused Grand avenue car No. 2 to jump the track about 11 o'clock Sunday night.
Motorman Charles Sager saw the rocks, but was unable to stop the car before it jumped the track. The car was well filled with passengers, but none were injured. It crashed against the curb stone and all the windows in the car were broken.
The accident delayed traffic on the line for about an hour.
The street railway people believe that a deliberate attempt was made to wreck the car and an investigation is being made.
