Talking moving to southwest missouri

hi everyone my name is deena and i'm looking to move into southwest missouri possibly joplin or neosho. my question is about joplin. are there better areas of the city that i should look to rent? i have two teens and don't want them to get into the wrong crowd. i live on a limited income and need to live someplace affordable, clean and safe. any feedback would be appreciated. feel free to send info or maps of the better parts of the city to deenafay2000@yahoo.com. looking forward to hearing back!!!!

Deena,
I've lived in this area all my life. Grew up in Webb City and Carterville, graduated from W.C. High School and now live south of Joplin out in the "woods".
If I were you I'd look at Webb City...it has one of the best school districts in Missouri or even Carl Junction they have a very good school. Both are relatively small, Webb City around 7,000 population and if your kins are into FOOTBALL they have the best program in the State. Carl Junction has a population around 4,000 and the schools there seem to be getting better every year.
I totally agree with you...the kids a the MOST important when look for a place to live.
If you have any more questions of need any help please feel free to contact me.
Blessings,
Terri Edwards
