Default Missouri Compared To Kansas

We are currently living a few miles from the Missouri stateline. We are considering looking at the Nevada area - wide area around there. Has anyone lived in Kansas and moved to Missouri and if so, do you like it better and why? It looks like the job choices and towns really differ from Southeast Kansas. Is the grass just looking greener or is it? Thank you.

I would think SW Missouri would offer a more varied job selection compared with Vernon County Missouri. If you are looking for a more rural town I would suggest one closer to Springfield or Joplin.
(I am basing this response on the updated census data which shows job growth in the area you mentioned. I have not lived in MO, but have lived in KS before.)

I live in KS for the first 25 years of my life, then moved to Missouri for 5.5 years before moving to Tennessee last summer.

Property taxes were a little cheaper in Missouri, but the roads were definitely worse in my experience, and their ways of doing things kind of annoyed me, but other than that it wasn't a LOT different. I lived in a particularly pro-union town, which is not something I was overly accustomed to.

I lived mainly in NE KS and NW Missouri.

The Springfield area is nice to me.

I wouldn't mind living at Lake of the Ozarks full time someday.

Send me a DM if you have specific questions and I'll see if I can help.
