yes
It is very nice. Alot nicer than any of the others in the area. It is not as nice as like Ameristar, in KC. But defintely worth visiting. If you sign up for their "players club" card, you get ten dollars worth of free play

I heard the buffet was pretty good, but the nice restaurant is pretty expensive-a la carte, $8 dinner salad, $45 steak w/o side dishes. Guess it doesn't matter if you hit it big but for most of us.....

I have not been there yet, but it looks good and I've heard good reports from others. I had such a bad experience in Miami, OK, a few years ago that I swore I would never set foot in another midwest Indian Casino. I'm hesitant but there really is nothing else that close.
I still prefer the "big names" Harrahs, Isle of Capris, etc., but I may have to check it out anyway, just for the "FUN" of it.

sounds like we will check it out for our 50th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks. We have been to Border Town in Seneca, fun, has the race book like hubby likes and lots of slots, but it didn't really turn me on. As for Miami, thought of that but something just didn't hit right. Then I found Downstream, it just sounded more like a "real casino".
I too, am not a huge fan of the Indian casinos, but it is that or drive forever, Tunica would be my first choice, then KC. I know it sounds like we are huge gamblers, actually we are strickly, what used to be referred to as the $2 gamblers, now I think it is low rollars. We like to go about once a month, but don't spend too much.
Firebll, thanks for the restaurant tip. At Harrah's a couple of weeks ago (in St Louis) the buffet was $18 which we thought was high so we ate at the Italian restaurant. They had a early bird special, lots of choices ranging from $12 for pasta to $18 for steak. Though the servings were huge the food was really good. If I wanted to spend $45 for a steak, I would just stay in NWA and go to Ruths' Chris. I suppose they think, if Las Vegas can charge these prices, so can they...MO isn't Las Vegas and these casinos, no matter how nice are not the Wynns or Bellagios....
Now, I will come off my platform for today.

Newer is nice but they all need to improve their air quality control. I went a couple of weeks ago to the one in Seneca early a.m. to meet a friend for the FREE FRIDAY senior breakfast. She's a smoker (I'm not) and we both thought the air quality was horrendous ~ like gag you just walking through the lobby. We went elsewhere to eat & I won't return to gamble, either.

Was this the Bordertown in Seneca? If so, I completely agree. I am a smoker when gambling and hubby isn't a smoker period. I will say, after about an hour we did adjust, but it was really awful at first. Hopefully, Downstream, because it is so new and so large will have better air quality.

We went to the Downstream Casino last night, and I can honestly say my clothes did not smell like smoke when we returned. And I left with an extra $50 bucks in my pocket! . I was a bit disappointed with the buffet however. It was $33.00 for two of us. If you get your Player's card, they will take 2 dollars off each. The Chinese food was dismal. Mushy noodles, I'm not sure WHAT the rice was, and the stir-fry lackluster. The beef entrees definitely needed to be soaked in Au Jus because of dryness. The peel and eat shrimp were large but overcooked to dryness. They had a beautiful display of desserts, which were pretty good and the salad bar looked good. All in all though, it was typical buffet food-I probably prefer Ryan's in fact. Of course, this is just my opinion....

thanks for the headsup. I wonder if Friday night is a seafood buffet? $33 for 2 is a little pricey, still a little less than Harrah's in ST Louis which was $18 per person without tax. I guess the buffet still beats the upscale dining room. If there isn't a seafood buffet on Fridays, I think we will just opt for the lunch buffet. If anyone knows please advise and glad you won a few bucks, better than leaving emply handed or empty pursed....

Yes, Friday night seafood buffet, $19.95. My guess is crab legs, fried shrimp, baked fish, fried catfish and if you are lucky, frog legs (though not technically SEA food).
