What is up with the doctors in Poplar Bluff?
I want to know what is up with the doctors in Poplar Bluff? Why doesnt anyone speak highly of the doctors here? How do you know if you have a good doc or not? A friend was told her son needed his tonsils out in order to get better because he was so sick and the anti biotics werent working. So she took him to Cape. The scariest part of that diagnosis is he had his tonsils out several years earlier. Hmmmm.
What about the hospital here? I do know from personal experience that if you dont have med. insurance you are treated totally different at the hospital here. I think there is a problem when we have to go to Cape, or StL to find a good doctor. one that can be trusted.
And what is with the rumor that the nurses dont even use gloves anymore at PB hospital? It it is true, and some who have had the experience of the nurses not using them, it needs to be addressed and changed. It's down right scary.

My Grandpa had a surgery at Poplar Bluff. He complained about it too.
Mom has mammograms done in St. Louis and when we were kids we went to St. Louis Childrens.
I've never heard good things about any Poplar Bluff hospitals.
I was born in Poplar Bluff. I don't think they're totally incompetent, but any complicated procedures I would have done in Cape Girardeau or St. Louis.

Just a note to recall that the ToS for CDF states "This is not the right place for consumer complaints. Such posts present defamation issues and they don't give the other side the opportunity to present their side of the argument." Therefore, lets not have any defamation or unfounded/undocumentated charges - and keep w/ general statements, no specifics [names, etc.]. Thanks.

I didnt mean to violate any of the TOS here. I was just trying to get opinions, not names of any docs. I have only lived here 2 years and havent heard of or found a real good doc in PB. And when searching for a specialist there doesnt seem to be any here in PB. It takes a 75 to 150 mile drive one way to find one.
Again, I didnt mean to violate anything here.

Doctors in Poplar Bluff
Doctors are like everything else, some good, some not so good. I have been treated by several Docs in Poplar Bluff, and they were for the most part, all good. I went to one Doctor for 35 years, and he kept me and my children healthy. If he thought I needed a specialist, he sent me to one. He recently retired, and I miss him very much. I don't know if it is possible, but I hope I can find one as good, and caring as he was.
