I've come to the conclusion that when Redneck is used in a derogatory sneer, it's usually from someone who lives in the city or wants to live in a city and want to feel superior to those who don't.
So they put down what people drive, what they do for living and how they entertain themselves.
I'm out to confuse them all!!!
I love NASCAR and intelligent enough to know it's not just cars going around in circles anyone who thinks that is....just uneducated.
We have two Fords in our household...one is 1991 F-150 pickup with 201k miles on it..it gets used to help those non-truck owners move....the other is a SUV....ha! a hybrid....
I can sit at an Opera and understand every word....but I can also sing the words to every Charlie Daniel song. I can dine at a 5 Star restaurant, know what fork to use when and love to hang around a fire pit smoking a hog.
I am a Redneck

Redneck used to be something to be proud of, it ment that you were a good, hard working, god fearing, union man who worked his hardest to support his family.

Now its been misconstrued into anyone who owns a trailer. Enjoy the outdoors, NASCAR, and drives a truck whether you use it for work or not so i guess i qualify.

Doesn't 'Cornwhole' refer to music preference?

lol, well then, silly,,, you are a Hoosier!

[fellow Missourians - please note the capital H, which those in that state take pride in being called this name (which I still am not used to yet! and never shall be one ),,, the lower h in 'hoosier' is our beloved moniker for those that are a couple shades below the negative connotation of redneck. ]
