Besides your own land, where are the best trails to take your horses to ride?
I will be getting a few horses when I move to the Springfield area and would like to know where everyone goes to ride their horses (besides their own property). Any good trails that anyone would recommend?

I'm pretty sure you can ride in the Mark Twain National Forest about 20 miles south of Springfield. You should also check the Missouri Department of Conservation website and link to the conservation areas (there are many) to see which allow horses - many do I think.

I did a search on "Cuivre River State Park" and a list of trails came up. It looks like a nice park and has specific trails for horseback riding. Thanks for the tip!
