Default relocating to missouri

Hey everyone! We are thinking about transfering to Missouri with our job and would like some advice on which area to look for a home and some land (maybe waterfront property). We will be working in the Wentzville area and would like to find something out of town. We want to be in a good school district and just an overall safe place in the country. Its hard moving to another state where you know no one or anything about the area. We'd appreciate any help!!Thanks.

Greetings. How far from Wentzville are you &/or your SO willing to travel, one way? That answer will help narrow down the search area, and then help focus on specifics.

Don't fret about not knowing anyone... for what its worth, you've all these great MO peeps here to help ya.

Well-we're not sure. We now drive 45 minutes one way, but, thats in Louisiana-where snow and ice do not exist-so needless to say, we do not know how to drive in it- so that will probably be the reason we would not want any more than a 30 minute drive. Thanks for the help-we are going to make a trip up your way next month to look around-any suggestions on where to start?
