Alot of Obama signs in the KC Area. Obama was in KC Saturday and McCain here today. Really a battleground state!

NOBAMA for me...his plan is to give the country away to gay loving liberals and illegal aliens. How is that a good thing? Why is this thread in the MO forum?
He is the worst thing to ever happen to America. Hopefully enough folks will come to their senses and vote that dog down.

What parts exactly of Obama's plan will give the country away to "gay loving liberals and illegal aliens"?
I personally think both candidates are lackluster at best. Obama got my vote but I don't by into a lot of the hype surronding him, and I have doubts as to if he'll be able to make a lot of the changes he says he will. Sadly, the good candidates (Bill Richardson or Ron Paul), didn't get a lot of media attention and were ignored in the primaries. The last 8 years have been horrible for this country and we need a change, which is the main reason I'm not voting for McCain.

If you wish I will mail you my copy of the NRA's American Hunter. This month's issue spells it out pretty clearly. PM me your addy and it will be on it's way.
If you think the last 8 years have been bad hold on to your hat if Nobama gets in.

Agreed. There's a Political & Election forum for this topic, since it quickly brings City-Data down to MySpace levels of maturity.
That said, we've seen what happens when one party has full control of the government, and with nutcases like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi running our country with a filibuster-proof Congress, that's NOT the direction we need to go. If anyone thinks Obama has the fortitude and willpower to ever do something against the will of his party's leaders (his *one* voice against them was the Iraq war, but that's it), you've got another thing coming. And no, Obama is not the party's leader. He plays a submissive role to those like Dodd, Reid, Pelosi, Frank, etc. That's why he got the nomination over Hillary - he's more easily controlled by his party.
I am by no means a McCain supporter, but like most elections, I'm forced to vote for someone I don't particularily have much interest in for the sake of keeping the checks and balances we need in government. We've seen what happens when one party is in full control.. we don't need this again with another party's puppet at the top yet have no balance of power.
It's a shame that guys like Gingrich, Paul, Richardson, Romney, Lieberman, etc aren't getting a shot - they've all proven to be people with the guts to stand up against their own party on certain issues for the overall good of the nation.
