Paul Henning, is from the Branson (Missouri) area. The Beverly Hillbillies did not really exist, so they really could not be from anywhere. I do not believe that, in the show, it was ever really stated where they moved to Beverly (Hills that is), from.
One (or possibly more) of the shows had to do with Silver Dollar City. There was a definite connection thanks to Mr. Henning.
