Default Missouri Election Watch

Have you voted yet? I have.

I wonder how Missouri will go and if we'll pick the next President again this year.

Here's to a long night!

Missouri is always interesting but I get sick of hearing this "bellwether," line. No state is a true bellwether. The fact that its "picked the president" is a pure statistical coincidence, not a legitimate indicator of any larger outcome.

No slight on you, you hear the line a lot in the media.

From what I read, Missouri was nearly identically split down the middle in this election. McCain was favored in the popular vote by only 6,000 more people than Obama. I'm not even sure what the electoral decision was but apparantly it's still undecided.

He barely, barely carried Missouri. Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, and Virginia were all relatively close calls. Indiana favored Obama by a mere 4,000 people or so.
