It'll be a very long time before I would consider that area to be the 'burbs of St. Louis! Beautiful country, but not even a little bit urban.

My uncle lived down there to be close to my grandparents and commuted up to Hussman refrigerations in St. Louis everyday, but a. he worked nights so there was no traffic and he could drive 85 miles an hour the whole way and b. he was crazy.

St. Louis and Potosi are totally different worlds. I have a few friends from college who are originally from near Potosi, and I went to a wedding over there once. Although it is closer to St. Louis, it feels a lot more isolated than were I grew up in south central Missouri. One of my friends dad's commuted from south of Potosi to the Ford plant in St. Louis every day for work. I also remember going to the Huddle House in Potosi near the end of a night of drinking (this was after my friend's wedding), and having the cook randomly show me some bullet wounds on his arm which he claimed to have gotten working as a security guard somewhere in East St. Louis....random memories, haha, but it made for an interesting night.

The last i heard the Prison at Potosi is direly needy help in the Execution department. They seem to have trouble getting applicants for some reason. I didn't mean this a a joke

Not implying this would be pertaining to you in particular.
