Default How do you like this weather?

The temperature at my place has climbed from 1 degree to 5 since I got up. How are you newcomers from warmer states coping? There was a wind chill advisory in effect; be sure to heed it. Don't take chances.

It's 14 here, but it's supposed to feel like -2.

I'll still go to church, though.

It's a balmy 9 here in the heat of the day...
With thermal underwear, it's not nearly as bad as people try to make it sound. I love it.

Yeah it was freezing here.. It got down to around 47 degrees Brrrrrrr
And it rained all day, just pouring, I bet we got 1/2 an inch of rain....

But on the bright side the Raiders and 49ers both won...

The thermometer on my front porch says it's 2 degrees now. Of course, it'll be 95-101 in July and August, so I guess that'll average out to about 47 for the year.

The persimmon seeds indicated we'd have moderate temperatures this winter, but the wooly worms said it would be cold. The wooly worms are right. It was zero when I got up this morning and is not much warmer than that now.

This is the first full day of winter, so we'll have some more days like this between now and spring in Missouri. This is invigorating.

Invigorating - yea, that's the word for it for sure! Spent couple hours bopping about the woods past few days, black hound and I, was indeed cold - feeling that frigid air enter your nostrils, and then icicles forming off of the fur of the mustache... Some good frost flowers were seen, even late in the day. 5 degrees,,, brrrrrrrrr....

GSXRScott is on a distinguished road
I moved here from Phoenix a couple a years ago and I'll tell ya I'll take 5 degrees over 120 degrees any day. First off, if it's cold you can just put on more clothes. Second off, it only gets like this for a few weeks then jumps back up to 40 or so. Phoenix is over 100 every day from the beginning of May until the end of September. No breaks!!!!!
