Anyway, now that I've settled that, mods would it be against the rules to go onto say the California or New York message boards and talk up Missouri?

Yawn.

Stop acting like everyone is out to get you and get over the fact that there are people out there with more than you. They earned it. Start building your life and stop feeling sorry for yourself. You are doing nothing but setting yourself up for failure in life.

I live on acres of land an hour from anywhere. What business is it of yours if that's the lifestyle I choose?

I don't want any baby boomers moving to Missouri. Only young blood. Baby boomers aren't bringing new ideas and new industry. Missouri has been held hostage by the old guard long enough and more boomers moving to it only ensures that it'll stay the same.

No thank you. No baby boomers no way no sir!

edit -- cooler heads have prevailed. your taxes are welcomed here, I just became a little frustrated. Open the floodgates!
Yea, I know... shame that the baby boomers did NOTHING, nothing at all to help this country, and NEVER have any good or new ideas...

Let me ask you the following:
1. Where did the money come from that you evidently abhor that these boomers spent?
2. Who exactly spent these monies on infrastructure?
3. Do not the other generations, not just you, have their tax money spent on the infrastructures?

lol, these posts remind me of the thread http://www.city-data.com/forum/polit...ers-blame.html and some of the jibberish on the 'net - blaming a 20-year span of a group of peoples for the majority of the ills plaguing our society [kinda stereotyping there, no?], IMHO is shortsighted itself and incorrect.

Maybe stop blaming other groups of people, make a difference [which you are evidently doing somewhat], lead, and be a magnet, in a positive manner - not decrying groups of others for what some within that group PLUS others in different generational groups are responsible for and/or have done.

IMHO, look at the so-called leaders PLUS those that elected these "leaders" that we have had in office, nationally & locally, during these years. To me, if you want to 'blame' someones, that be the place to look first.

since you likened my post to jibberish, I'm not going to answer your questions, what would be the point? You've already proved yourself to be dismissive.

Mods? Can I tout Missouri and its cities in other forums? I don't want to get suspended for spamming.

You took a big picture as a personal attack and retorted as such. Sure I lumped you in w/ baby boomers but your good will doesn't absolve one group. There's no ignorance on this side of the conversation I can assure you. Modcut- personal attack. I wouldn't even be talking to you if you hadn't said something as ridiculous as keep californians out of missouri. Its sad that a good large of Missouri shares your xenophobia

Anyway, mods?

Of course, I see that you fail to say anything about the young people who spend...spend...spend and want everything yesterday. Oh yeah, the baby boomers, which I am, made this country strong and the youngin's, that would be you and your coharts, are messing things us royally. Look at the spending that young Obama is doing to this country. Don't blame it all on baby boomers because you really have no idea what you speak of.
