I have lived in St.Joseph Missouri my entire life. I love it here and thou I enjoy trvelling I will never move away. We have Several parks, Great schools public, catholic and christian. we have, an awesome bouelevard system, second longest in the world, along with walking trails. We have tons of different eating places around town. 2 movie theatre's, 3 bowling ally's, mini-golf, musuems, the mall is not so great but the north shops are decent. We are about an hour away from the K.C. airport and all the wonderful shops in K.C. You can get a nice house in St. Joseph for as little as $100k and up.

Here is my link to where I say is great. You could live in Springfield which has a brand new mid field terminal at the Branson-Springfield airport. Springfield is a nice mid sized town with a lot of businesses located there like 3M and Tracker Boats. There are 2-3 great large hospitals there. With that said a lot of folks live in my town of Branson, Missouri and commute to springfield only about 40 miles. Branson after all is known as the "Live Entertainment Capitol of the World". It is a small town only 8,000 folks but we entertain about 8-10 million visiters yearly. Branson, Missouri The Entertainment Capitol Of The World!

Best place to live is all subjective. Not everyone likes the city, not every likes small towns, not everyone likes farmlife. There's no perfect solution for everyone.
