What? You don't accept people as Missourians unless they're natives? These Californians and other folks wanting to move to Missouri won't be accepted by you as Missourians? People like Lake Junkie must always carry that "from someplace else" burden? I thought we were all trying to be more open-minded and inclusive here. I've been chastised several times for not embracing outsiders, and I'm trying to change my evil ways, and then here you come along with a test of who's a real Missourian and who's not.

Some even tell those James Gang stories in a way that they are more of a super hero than superman, batman, or spiderman could ever hope to be!

George Armstrong Custer upon topping the hill and looking down at more indians than anyone had ever seen before said........................ "Charge"

I am assuming you wrote this with tongue planted firmly in cheek?

The OP is about famous people from Missouri, IMHO that means you have to be born in the state. If you could ask D Boone where is was from he wouldn't say Missouri. I am proud to be a native Missourian and think others feel the same about their home state, claiming someone not born in MO is deceiving.

I think that was his pride saying "Charge" because it sure wasn't a lick of sense! Did you know the Indians wanted to have him alive for trade but he cryed and to them, no man should be seen crying like a baby in war. So he was killed too.
