Many I never knew were from Missouri, Don Johnson from Miami Vise & Nash Bridges fame is from Flat Creek, I never heard of it, it's outside Cassville.

On the website Rush Limbaugh is on the list of famous people born in Missouri , he is classified in the Television section but should be in the Comedians section...

LOL, nice rip on Rush....... I can remember when he would DJ a show on Friday nights on his familys radio station in Cape, we would roar with laughter, he was soooooooooo bad!

Being a conservative but not agreeing with him about everything, I always looked at Rush as an entertainer, if he wasn't a loud mouth flamboyant radio host he wouldn't have a job, he markets himself well.

I imagine he would be a good entertainer whatever his radio subject was.

I notice that Missouri tends to claim a lot of folks that weren't actually born in the state - Daniel Boone jumped out at me. What's up with that? I don't see how they make the list if not born in MO.

Boone was born in Pennsylvania but lived in MO. He wasn't "from" MO

Brad Pitt, The singer Cheryl (?)Crow, President Truman, John Goodman, (that's his tv, movie name, he actuly owns property about 1/2 mile from me), There is another acther from one of the soaps that was from Washington, Mo., just can't think of his name.
John Ashcroft who should have been President but bush jumped in and soaked all the money up.
Gen. Sherman lived here too.
George Hinkle, played for the Seattle Seahawks, from Robertsville, Mo.

Two of the characters on The Office, Jenna Fischer (though born in Indiana she grew up in St. Louis and attended Truman State) and Phyllis Smith are both from Missouri. The site also seems to be missing Tom Akers, an astronaut from Eminence, and a math professor at UMR.

Also don't forget Redd Foxx was from St. Louis, Boris Karloff, Ike and Tina Turner, Jesse James, and another actor, can't think of his name, he was in alot of the scary movies tall,slender, dark hair and a little mustache.
