Actually I wanted to know about the differences between KC and STL. Can anyone give a summary of the differences in all facets?

You'd have to be a lot more specific.
1. The city of KC is bigger (both in square mileage and population) but the metro of STL is about 1 million people larger

2. Both city's crime is very localized. That means there are some bad bad areas in both, but also vast swaths of the cities that are completely livable.

3. COL is pretty comparable.

4. I'm a St. Louis girl, so of course I think St. Louis offers a better quality of life, but clearly I'm a little biased. But I can say that if you want to live in an urban trendy environment with good transit and like-minded individuals i think St. Louis has more neighborhood options.

5. St. Louis has 3 pro teams to KC's 2. Football is bigger in KC, STL is a baseball town at heart (21 days till pitchers and catcher report!)

Both cities get all the national concert acts, but I think St. Louis has more varied entertainment venues.

The number of free things (the Zoo) and fabulous parks (including Forest Park which is larger than NY's Central Park) tip the scales for STL IMO.

6. St. Louis wins this easily. Fabulous architecture here, older historic homes than in KC. That's not to say that KC doesn't have some really beautiful older homes though!

7. Honestly? I've never worked in either city, so i have no idea. It depends what kind of work you are looking for. St. Louis has more fortune 500 companies though.

Don't know with global warming if this is still the case but I do remember years ago that Kansas City had colder, harsher winters than St. Louis.

They seem to get more ice storms than St. Louis -- that wind sweeps off the plains something fierce too.

The climate is definitely a bit different, but probably not enough to base a decision on.

Oh, more factors I forgot:

1. Lambert-St. Louis is a bigger airport than KCI so flights are cheaper and more direct

2. You can drive to the beaches in Florida faster from STL
