I'm hoping that you couldn't find your sarcasm smilie, and you meant that with humour...
Otherwise, per the reasoning within your note, then that is why in the cities there are no drugs, as there are so many things to do...

A few years ago, I was counselor at a camp up on hwy 44 on Mt. Lassen.
There were a couple of kids from Hayfork, they were about 12-13 and had lost most of their permanent teeth already. I worked with a kid from Alturus as well with serious drug problems.

When I was a 911 Dispatcher for our county the deputies were kept pretty busy. They were very successful in closing down meth labs. They worked with a Drug Enforcement group consisting of many countown labs in our counties and Missouri. They are doing a tremendous and dangerous job. My sincere and grateful thanks to all of the law enforcement for their dedication and hard work.

OMG that is horrible! I hadn't realized that could happen so young but then I guess I forget children can use the hardcore stuff too.

Ha, meth capital of the world! Really, MO is a better place than all that.

How has it affected Columbia, MO? Is it rampant in the high schools? Thanks.

I see very little of it (really, none) in Columbia and it certainly isn't rampant at Hickman or Rock Bridge, the two public high schools here. I'm not professionally involved in drug enforcement any more but I know the players, on all sides, and I would have heard if meth was a problem here.
The map linked from this story shows meth busts per county in 2007. There were none in Boone county, where Columbia is.

As to the city/country divide regarding meth, the map incorporated in the article link I posted above shows that the biggest counties in the state for meth busts-- Jefferson, St. Charles, and St. Francois counties-- are either part of the St. Louis metro area or close to it. I know of meth labs busted in both rural and urban areas, so it defies pigeonholing by that standard.
I think it's a sad, debilitating drug problem, regardless of where it crops up.
