Isn't that where Mark Twain was from? Funny guy...brilliant author.
Anyway, with a pop. of just 17,800...Hannibal certainly sounds like my kindof place

I have visited Hannibal Mo a few times and think it is awsome. I really loved the Mark Twain cave tour. After leaving Hannibal we also visited Daniel Boones homestead in MO which was interesting too. Our vacation from Ohio went like this Springfield to see Lincolns exibits and grave, Hannibal to visit Mark Twains town, then further west in MO to Daniel Boones final home, and finally to Kentucky to see Lincolns birthplace and Daniel Boones grave. I got a kick out of the controversy between MO and Kentucky over where Daniel Boone is really buried. It was a great little Vacation and educational for the kids as well.

Thanks for the link Pirateman, I'll check it out. We are moving back to the area soon, and I'd like as much info as I can get.

I have was born and raised there and I am 45 and have no desire to move to stinky town. It disgusts me. I am ashamed to say that it is my hometown. They need to clean up that town and turn some lights on in town so it will not be so dark. I have never known Hannibal to be so dark at night. I do not know what the hell happened? Hannibal is going to be a ghost town in a few years. They need to come to Columbia and see how clean our town looks and take some classes on how to make Hannibal look as clean as Columbia. At least Columbia takes pride in their town and how it looks!

Mark Twain is a town drunk that got lucky. He was also an atheist. I know this is my hometown, but I do not live in Hannibal anymore. YAy!!
