Ditto! My area is still relatively unknown but I have seen signs of progress, a new bypass is going in and we got a roundabout. A few new stores have gone in and I know for sure a guy from Cali bought a house not too far from me.

Ha, my hometown had a flashing light at the 4-way stop downtown when I was a kid, but even it disappeared sometime in the 90's! I enjoy telling people I meet that I'm from a town without even a stoplight  |

They put the stoplight up in the '90's, and just took it back down. Dont know what the thinking was behind it, but all the residents are well-versed on how a 4 way stop works.......unlike some of the idiots down here.  |

Well unbeknownst to the rest of the world, these Missouri folks are a bit better educated than they let on. From my wanderings around Missouri and Arkansas, there little ones (teenagers included) seem to be not only smarter, but alot more polite and mannerly than those on the left coast...
