lol, there ya go again,,, - making broad generalizations, about other people who you really do not know, and about situations that you really have little to no clue about. "most of the posters" are really such as you state there? I seriously doubt that. Kind of like the OP within this thread - you made statements about some guy in the Arkansas forum, and you were off-base on your original beliefs, which yes you apologize for later, but the point is that you just had to cut someone down, at their expense, to evidently make yourself feel better about your 'true almighty self', and all because you misunderstood and prejudged another person.
Oh, BTW- many moderators on this forum do NOT necessarily live within the boundaries of the areas that they moderate, at least we are blessed, IMO, with this guy that hails from the Ozarks, and truly loves the Ozarks, the state of Missouri, and respects all within her, probably for some strange reason even you - he is quite the understanding and fair mod. And another BTW for ya,,, ShadowCaver is not the only mod in the MO forum - there is another mod,,, and that one hails from NH. Is that ok, and maybe meet with your approval?
Strange, and I guess its strange to me cause my beliefs and backgrounds are different from yours, but I really don't understand how someone that holds the "Word of God" so close to their heart and soul can be so judgmental, so in-your-face, and so harsh to other humans. Sorry, but we all can not be to your liking - evidently no one is ever allowed to complain, to make a statement, to fuss about something that may offend you ears, just because they have a different lifestyle or outlook or desires than you.
On that note, seems to me that you often claim to be just wanting to help these poor lost souls, but yet it can be detected quite strongly in your multiple posts about these and to these people that they just plain offend you, and that you just don't like to hear anyone make a complaint or even just a passing statement that that person may find something amiss or different. Shame that your tolerance for others thoughts is evidently so shallow.
Now, with that all said, I (and I imagine & realize many others) do find the supposed intent [as you claim at times] to be just trying to help others, to make sure that they research and know more about what they are getting into, is laudable and deserves credit - but what I find distracting and distasteful is the manner in which your posts come across, especially when we are here to share, learn, and help. Unfortunately, too often seems that we just learn that you dislike anyone who doesn't fit your criteria, who may have ambitions and desires that don't fit your narrow mold. And that is a shame, 'cause seems that you have some good thoughts, at times, and those could be helpful.

Wise words, as usual, from Northwoods Voyager!
BTW, I think OB must be pouting somewhere, he has not posted since 6:47 last evening. Or perhaps he has had his fun with us at our expense, and is off to greener pastures?

Certainly not pouting, and, yes, I have had a great deal of fun. As I said when we traded rep points yesterday, Kshe95girl, I enjoy bantering with you. The same for the others. Think of the fun we'd have if we were all around a table at a coffee shop, yammering and hammering at one another.
Mostly just taking The No. 1 Native's advice:

This thread is running down, but it is too much fun to just quit. The pastures are greenest here in the Missouri Forum. I'll find a better day and have some more fun then.
I appreciate all the comments, negative and positive. I figure the mental stimulation we give each other here will keep us from getting Alzheimer's disease, or at least delay it.

I think we should plan that for early in the morning of the day of the First Annual Rolla Gay Pride Parade. You will, of course, be the Grand Marshal since it was your idea to begin with.

You need to get it right.

Never, ever did I say they were stupid or that I was better than them. Those are your words. Not knowing how to fix a computer does not make anyone stupid. I can't fix a transmission. It doesn't make me stupid, just untrained in that area.
And I didn't offer my help because I was sure it would be unwelcome based on their earlier remarks to me. You missed the point of my story completely. We all have something to learn from each other if only we are willing.

OMG, can you imagine the fun? Of course, I would prefer a good glass of Missouri wine to the coffee, but to each his own!

Well, considering it would be you in a majorette uniform I think we can most certainly make that exception and with the greatest of pleasure.
Wine's good!
