OMG, r8r, I am sooooooo glad to see you! I was thinking about you the other day, and wondered how you were.
Sweetie, this too shall pass. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and everything is gonna be ok.
You are more blessed than you realize!

~sigh~ since the economy took a dive, it took quite a bit of our nest egg with it.
We were hoping to buy a little slice of heaven this summer, but no such luck. We didnt want to take out a mortgage, just pay cash, ya know?
Anyway, I will be in Mo in August, and still hoping I can find somewhere in Sainte Genevieve that might be for sale dirt cheap.
My thoughts and prayers are with you r8r, things WILL get better!

Hi r8rfan
Us wanna-be re locators are still here ..
Sorry to hear that the bad economy has hit you too . I guess we're all going to have to pay for the mistakes of the greedy elite for awhile . I got served a temporary layoff notice the other day .. sure hope it doesn't turn into a permeneant one . I was supposed to be visiting out your way this month but a family illness struck ,gonna have to play music with my Eldon friends in June , if all goes well.
Im glad that you are renting and not having to face a forced sell-off in this bad market .... think of all of this as a temporary bump in the road .... you might have to go back to Colorado for awhile to
build up funds but you'll be able to come back to MO. later when everything gets back to normal.
Im still 3 years away from the big move , if I can keep my job here... but I'll keep running out to MO. in the meantime to fix my fences and play music with my new MO. friends.
I onced worked a factory job for 5 years ... thought it was my career . Got hit with a massive lay-off that dragged on month after month ... almost a year of putting in applications and still no offers, no call back. Then one day out of the blue I got a call...the NJ govt. needed entry level postions filled in the highway dept. It has been a job much better then suffering with the heat and chemicals of my last factory job . The lay off turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. Hang in there ! You'll be ok ... Colorado isn't bad , Ive got a bunch of family out there :-)
