That there is a Good One.
Got a story for you.
Went down to the river with my wife.Get down there there is a Bucket on the bank with a Sucker in it that someone had shot with a .22.Told my wife I can't figure why they shot it.
Well here comes a Guy and Little Girl up there.Asked if he was doing any good.Yea I caught a nice Bass on worm.I say its too bad Bass aren't in season. He says season don't matter to him.I told my wife it will if he gets caught keeping Bass.
Then little bit later he comes down there says he wouldn't have killed that Bass if he knew it wasn't in season I says That wasn't no Bass it was a Sucker.Yea thats what I'll tell them it is a Sucker. He was still conviced it was a Bass.

Hillman, those Californians might go gigging, but they won't fry and eat the suckers. They say only us hillbillies and, uh, certain people of color, are trashy enough to eat trash fish. I've eaten many of them on the river bank in the middle of winter, along with hush puppies, dill pickles, sliced onions and cole slaw. Mighty fine eating.

Ozark, your right on that one for sure, My Daddy said when your hungry you'll eat just about anything that moves. He's ate just about every critter in Missouri, including alot I've never eaten: Suckers, Racoon, Opossum, turtles, snakes and such...
I was fortunate enough to never be hungry, we always had plenty of store bought food with an ocassional rabbit, or squirrel thrown in.
As far as fish go, I let the bass live, I usually let all the bass go, My wife does'nt like fish and I can catch enough stripers in the winter to feed me a filet or two a month....
