Default How to renew license plates after 4 year expiration

My 1993 pontiac was not renewed for license back in 2005 because it was broke down and would have never passed an inspection. It sat for 4 years and now I have been fixing it up for my daughter. My question is how do I renew the plates? Are there any penalties?

Just take proof that the car was not in working condition. We had to do that once. They can't charge more than a certain amount in penalties. I can't remember how much. But if you have proof of the immobility of the car they will waive the penalties.
