Miss Rutabaga is on a distinguished road
Default Osceola....anyone??

I wrote earlier about the possibility of moving to Missouri....someone suggested Osceola as not being too far from Kansas City.

What is Osceola like? Friendly? Too small? I'm in my 40's, so I don't need
some hopping nightlife...but would like to have access to cultural things,
cafes, bookshops or near enough to find them.

Anyone know Osceola?

Thanks in advance.......MR

I know Osceola.
Yes, it's friendly, even to newcomers.
It is small. I think the in-town population is just over 800.
Nightlife? Not really! lol Most local evening events are fundraisers, by churches, non-profits, or groups raising funds for someone who is sick. However, it is close enough to Clinton, El Dorado Springs, Bolivar, even Springfield (just over an hour away) if you want to get out and do something.
As for not being too far from Kansas City, it will take 90 minutes to get to the southern parts of KC. It's not bad for visiting, but it's not a commute I'd want to do every day.
