Red face Moving to Mo, where is best place for resources for Aspergers?

My 4 yr old has resently been diagnosed with Aspergers Snydrome(high functiong autism) and pretty severe form of it. We currently live in Thomas county Georgia but they no resources to hlep him. We have looked into Missouri and have come to like it. Well what we have heard about it anyways. We are a christian family who likes to live a littl ein the country. We dont like cooky cutter homes becuase this also affects our son. He does not do well in busy places. I will however travel to get him the help he needs, if that is an option. We need to move in an area that will offer him sensory integration along with ot,st,and great schools. Any information would help so much. He is starting Preschool here only becuase they have some teachers here that work with kids like him, in Hand in Hand . His therapist is even worried about him going there but we are going to give it a try. But before next year we have to move. They do have resources near Atlanta, Ga that are great but i have no desire to live in that area due to crime, traffic, population, ect...
Also if anyone knows anything about cdl jobs in the area, if there are any? My husband is a truck driver.

Can't help you much, but here are a few potentials that may be able to provide you with more info and resources to offer in Missouri:
Aspergers kids (O Fallon, MO) - Meetup.com
The O Fallon Asperger's Syndrome Meetup Group (O Fallon, MO) - Meetup.com
SLAM - The St. Louis Asperger's Syndrome Meetup Group
Autism/Asperger's Syndrome Sites
Asperger's Syndrome Missouri - Missouri, autism, Missouri parenting, Missouri special needs, Missouri asperger's, Missouri disabilities

As to job opportunities, of course its rough all over, so what might do is make list for best places for AS assistance and another for CDL jobs, and cross reference them.

Good luck, and best to you and yours...

Try this too: Special School District It's the Special School District in St. Louis, and they provide services to all the St. Louis county schools--you can find out which ones on their website, and there are resources on the site and they can probably hook you up w/ people in other parts of the state (maybe).

I don't know what cdl jobs are so can't help you there.

I found this Autism organization that has an office in Springfield. There are also a lot of rural areas nearby for housing etc. GOOD LUCK
