I have wattered it, put down lime and grass food, like always. My only thought is that the cold hurt it or maybe I put too much food on it. If that is the case, how long does it take to green back up? My sprinklers water from 5am to 7am off and on each day. I know that is enough water, but it is still looking unhealthy..... any words of wisdom???????

I have three acres of lawn that I've fertilized twice already because the day after I did it the first time, we had that day of torrential rains and my front acreage flooded.....$100 down the drain...
But it began to green in the warmth and the tulips came up and the daffodils bloomed and it began feeling and looking like Spring. I refertilized hoping for a bit of time for the granules to work their way into the lawns. They started growing like crazy and I did my first thorough mowing about a week and a half ago. Then came winter again...

The tulips and daffodils were zapped by the 18F-28F lows, my lawn started browning.
Then how much rain fell yesterday through this morning? About 2.5"-3" I'd estimate north of Springfield as I have a lake again on the front acreage and my neighbor's pond overflowed into my gully and helped fill up the northwest corner. But... this time the heavy rain came long after I fertilized, so I feel fairly confident there's no problem there.
Then this morning's snowstorm....
I just want Spring to get here and STAY. I think my lawns will recover quickly with the coming heat...(if we get any) and be beautiful this year. One good thing is I think that bumper crop of ticks got zapped!
I think we just have to be patient.
