Default Jebediah and Ronald looking for birth parents from Chesterfield

My boyfriend, Jebediah and his brother Ronald are looking for their birth mother and father. Jeb's date of birth in 10-16-1979. When he was 2 months old his grandmother took he and his brother from their parents in Chesterfield, Missouri and brought them to Lincoln, NE. From what they've been told their grandmother went back to Missouri to take care of some business and died of a heart attack while she was there. Jeb and Ronald stayed behind with family friends while she was gone and were eventually turned over to the state of Nebraska, after which they were adopted by the Lee family and moved to Omaha. They do not know the names of their parents or their grandmother, but are praying that this situation may sound familiar to someone out there who can lead them in the right direction. If you have any information that can help them, please send me a message.

Thank you and God bless, Heather

Default Nebraska Social Services

If the boys were "turned over" to the State of Nebraska, there is a record somewhere. In that record, the names of the "family friend" who cared for them is surely recorded.

From that friend, the grandmothers name might be found.

With so little information, you're looking for a needle in a haystack. I know from experience. I've been looking for a half brother or sister for 20 years. My mother gave birth to same and put up for adoption when she was 16. I didn't learn about it until after she died and have been banging my head against a brick wall for a long, long time.

Good luck.

not all is lost. and to the other female. you have many oepnings yet to travel in the information you just gave in your message.

heather did you check to see if there were missing children reported from that area where the grandmother took the boys from? was this actually a grandmother? or this a kidnapping? which i could question legitimately. the grandmother cross state lines that makes it a federal case also if she did not have a court order giving her custody.

if this is legitimate there would also be a death notice and check the obituaries for that time frame. even though she died out of state they wuld still have a record of it in the county where it occured since this is apart of their records of death for that state.

it can be time consuming but to go through the newspapers oituaries for that year. in the town inwhich her death occured. and also go through the coroners office for that state and county since they would have had to pronounce her dead and make out the travel papers to go across state line for burial to where she lived and where boys were living?

if there was an adoption this is not just done over night and had attorneys and records files, etc. and to submit in writing meaning the boys themselves to this county records to get a copy of the adoption. which meant a name change from what to lee. this may even be in the court records that you can go through and read and get copies of i believe through the recorders office.

they might charge to do this on their own. but you may be able to at least find this record and then go and get a copy of it on your own.

call the state governors office where boys had lived and see if they can help you get the attorney generals number and explain this case to them.

you want the state legal office which would have been involved in this case.

if this was a fact of a grandmother? taking it upon herslef to remove the children and take them across state line this will then turn into an FBI case of possible kidnapping. and this is ok Heather. this would have to happen and to know what happen to the boys parents.

there is just strange things about this case hich to me does not have alot of merit as for the grandmother.

but if the grandmother had court papers this would then have not been considered a kidnapping. but i would still check to see if in that time frame there were missing children reported.

you can also call the missing and exploited childrens hotline if you susupect this foul play. but be very careful about what you say. or those that may come to yu and boys and demand they leave with them, etc.

do as much of this until you have something solid to go to and know this as a matter of fact in writing letters.

find the birth certificate. court records at time of adoption. this will give you good healthy leads.

always think of your safety and the boys regardless of how old you are now. this is a very sensitive area.

take care and keep me posted.

a friend to all of you.

judith
