Ozarks becoming more "progressive"? (Marshall, Republic: fit in, house, live)

Here's Modcut- that link belongs in a separate politics thread.a political blog's announcement of an Ozarks candidate for a statewide race that ought to make a lot of you feel better about Missouri.

The candidate is a "transgender." I'm not sure what that means, but I think it's a guy dressed up like a woman.

Those of you moving here from more liberal states or from larger cities who have been wondering if you'll fit in should be assured by this news. It just goes to show you that the Ozarks and Missouri are changing, becoming more "progressive," and "diverse" and "open."

Even though he/she/it will be running for a leftist third party and won't get much support, it's just another indication to me that the Ozarks region is becoming less Ozarkian.

Well I lived in a Town with the first Openly Gay Mayor in the state and had a Lesbian City Marshall so none of this is New.

They did come down and welcome us to the city.Not saying I think thety are Normal.

But few miles down the road my Daughter and her Boyfriend was run out of town by the KKK because she is Irainian and he is Chinese.

Serious as a Heart Beat.Latham,Mo.Several times they was in front of the Court House trying to get New Recruits.

Thing is even though it was on the News about this Town my Daughter didn't know about it.

I am very confused.....please clarify? If your daughter is Iranian, I would venture an ignorant guess that she is adopted? or have I missed something?

Yes I adopted her and her Brother.Still consider them thew same as my Biological Kids.
