Greenfield
Anyone here been to Greenfield? I'd love to see photo's of the square or any other interesting buildings if anyone has them, and hear about the town.

I don't think Greenfield has a square. It is very small. I have driven through it several times on my way to Stockton Lake.

It has some shopping and a court house. I just haven't been able to see much more than a glimpse here and there on the net.

It has a couple of small banks, Mcdonalds, Subway (I think), a couple gas stations that I have seen, A Dollar General store and at least 1 grocery store. I think it has more than a town it size normally does because of its proximity to the lake. During the summer months people always go to Greenfield for groceries etc.

Greenfield DOES have a square. It is the county seat for Dade County. There is not much left on the square, but we do have a beautiful one. But there is not a McDonalds, it went out of business years ago.

Greenfield does have 3 banks, Subway, 3 gas stations, 1 groc store, a Dollar General, also a hanful of locally owned restraunts, and drive-in eating places. There is more than meets the eye here. We are not just a lake town.

Was a town I was looking to move to. Hubby went and brought home photo's to me and I love it. We won't be moving there though, the house we were looking at didn't work out. I definitely plan to visit someday though.

Greenfield, Missouri Inquiry
My wife and I are retiring educators in "too hot" Texas. We are looking at property in Greenfield that is listed at a price that we can afford. The property has a large living space for the both of us and a simply huge additional area that would be more than ample to operate a business(s). I am seriously considering opening a dancehall, selling beer/wine/coffee/soft drinks (no liquor). My wife wants to use part of the space to operate a tutoring business/family literacy center. I know that it sounds like a strange combination, but thats what we do!!! She enjoys teaching and I love playing music!!! Any comments?
