Default Places to look at

Hi all!

My husband and I will be visiting MO in October. He is going to be going to school next fall at UCM in Warrensburg. I will most likely be working in Lee's Summit. What I am curious to know is where should we look at buying a home that is
a) In a family community
b) resonably priced no more than $250,000.
c) close enough to both so that neither of us have to drive further than 30 minutes.

Also although schools are not an issue yet because our only child is 2. It doesn't have to be a huge area and the houses don't have to new. I just want a general area to look at when we visit. I don't know for sure that I would be working in Lee's Summit but because it is bigger than Warrensburg I thought that the job opportunities might be better there. I do administrative work for an architect firm now and I would like to do something similar to that if possible. My husband will be working for Hampton Inn in Lee's Summit. Is the drive from Lee's Summit to Warrensburg a long one?

Thanks for any ideas that you could give me.

Stephanie

About 35 miles from LS to Warrensburg. Google maps is your friend.

It's not a bad drive. Check out Greenwood, very nice little town just outside of Lee's Summit towards Warrensburg.
