What is about Californians???
I have been reading these forums for some time, the Missouri ones as well as other rural states, and I notice that for the most part, Californians are very disliked. Nobody wants them moving to their part of the country. What is it specifically that people resent about them?  |

they want us to conform to their ways and views, and seem to think that Missouri would be perfect if it would just become California East  , like, that is EVER gonna happen!

Stereotype.....I don't know, I personally don't ever think I would say I didn't like someone because they are from a certain state...BUT some people are like that:P

I grew up in New York and lived in CA for 20 years. Moved to Missouri last year. But the OPs logic, I should be totally despised. But I have plenty of friends.
I do think the employers here are very locally biased. I have to telecommute to Newport Beach to make a living.
And there is no way MO will ever become CA East (even though a lot of the kids here think the are in OC, or at least what they perceive to be OC)
At least I don't have any Texan Roots.

Oh, my! We're not just disliked but resented as well.
WAIT! We just bought a house in MO. We're over halfway there as I write so we're no longer Californians, really!
