My best friend is a Mark Savage Conservative. I'm a west Coast Liberal (nowhere near flaming- I support gun ownership and many right to life issues) I think we would be fine.
It's Dr. Michael Savage, and he's not conservative - he's indepedent and very smart, one of the few media pundits that has it right.
I was going to get that one too, but my keyboard skills are so poor that I would get hammered on criticizing another' posters spelling or comprehension.
No, he is full of vitriol and hate. I prefer never to listen to any talk radio.
So believing in the preservation of our border security, language integrity and cultural standards is hateful and vitriolic? I'll take that over a collection of bitter, miserable insecure libs who hate anyone who is successful and does something productive for society.

No sir, I am an Independent voter and I don't care for over the top hate mongering and fear mongering. Talk radio is just a way to use scare tactics without having a meaningful debate about the important issues from all sides.
[color=black][font=Verdana]We moved from California to STL 3+ years ago. I find the locals here to be insular, ignorant, immature, irresponsible and blatantly stupid.
Were they like that where you came from? If not, why did you move?

You've shown me very effectively in the past that you're an independent voter. But I am in no way ready to make that kind of blanket condemnation of all talk radio. It is an essential source of information, together with the better Internet blogs out there. Michael Savage has, whether anyone wants to acknowledge it or not, a pretty good head on his shoulders. How he chooses to use it--well we could have a pretty lengthy discussion about that.
"Over the top hate mongering and fear mongering"? That is what I see whenever I read a Thomas Friedman column, or a Maureen Dowd column, or an Ellen Goodman column, or an E.J. Dionne column. Each of these syndicated columnists advocate an ever-bigger federal government, and/or foster deep, burning hatred towards evangelical Christians and conservative Catholics.
In the talk radio arena, it's about ratings. I've listened to Michael Savage. He and Mark Levin get pretty sulphurous. There's a guy based out of San Diego named Roger Hedgecock who is both conservative as it gets AND who doesn't raise his voice and holler and carry on. And here in the Bay Area, I really like KSFO 560's Brian Sussman. I like his worldview very much. He gets passionate about the issues. We're living in a pretty ideologically divided nation, after all. And when it comes to such things as ACORN-driven voter fraud, can anyone really afford to be nicey-nice? Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil? These ACORN activists need to be busted, and busted hard. Some deserve extended prison sentences. This is just one example. The TV networks and newspapers would never have reported ACORN's criminal activities if it wasn't for talk radio hosts--and FOX News as well.
Please watch this video: YouTube - PETE STARK: "I wouldn't dignify you by peeing on your leg". I'd like to know when we had to start serving our elected officials, instead of them serving us? Unfriendliness? It certainly seems we need more "unfriendliness" at our town hall meetings. We don't have the House of Lords in America! This particular congressman has been in the House of Representatives a very long time, and has been re-elected, and re-elected, and re-elected, and re-elected, and re-elected.....
Would Missouri voters, especially those in rural areas, put up with Pete Stark the way his constituents in California's East Bay have...until now?
