Missouri is not for everyone just like New York or big cities are not for everyone. I personally love to wake up to the sounds of the roosters as to fire engines, I love to look out and see deer and turkey as to see squad cars, I don't mind driving to town to eat in the little cafe as to jumping from one fast food place to another.
I have quite adapted to the slower pace, strangers waving, the simple things in life as opposed to the hustle and bustle of big city living. I love the fact that Missouri is not politically correct as up North. There are actually signs about Jesus on the roadways, people say openly I will pray for you. God Bless Missouri, the small towns and the people who leave bags of paw paws on my fence post, or a carton of eggs in my mailbox

Oh! So beautiful; it makes me long for Missouri so much! My SO and I just went camping in Southern Wisconsin a few weeks ago which everyone claims is so pretty, but we weren't very impressed. Sure it might be a little hillier than Northern Illinois, but that's not saying much!
I really miss those fabulous rolling hills (and they're so much more fun to drive on too!)

Now if you don't quit talking about all that you'll have a family of 6 sittin by your mailbox lol..
We can't wait to get there..Everything you said is so us. Where we live it's somewhat like that but we just don't have the beautiful scenery to go with it..and no one would leave us eggs in our mailbox. I want that. I want that for my kids.
