Jefferson City Area - Homes & Schools
Hello,
We are looking at a possible job that, if it comes through, will have us relocating to the Jefferson City area quite quickly. We're looking for information on schools and housing.
In particular with schools, we have a 10th grader and a 7th grader who are academically advanced, and who have enjoyed the smaller charter school they're in this year. We also have a 3rd grader with Down syndrome who is in a fully-included classroom, NOT a separate special education program.
Our issue is finding an area that is within reasonable commute distance of downtown JC, with school opportunities that'll be positive for all of our kids, and with housing that will accommodate us affordably.
So far, the areas we're looking at are Jefferson City itself, and Wardsville and Ashland. We would welcome advice and comments, specifically with regards to the schools and how they handle kids with special needs.
