I'd probably choose a more agricultural part of Missouri than I am in now. Maybe Bonne Terre. It's out in the middle of nowhere and great farming land. Texas county is good too.
I would not, under any circumstances whatsoever live in Kansas CIty or St. Louis. Just too dang big for me.

Wondering where the posters who are still with us finally ended up. For our parts, we wouldn't live in Kansas City, St. Louis or any of their suburbs. Nor would we live in Springfield and not likely in any town with a large college or university. We're in the boonies, far enough from "civilization" to pretty much ignore those things we don't care for yet close enough for when we need certain amenities not usually found in smaller towns.

West Plains -- rural area, old time music, nearby rivers and fishing, perfect if you don't like cities.
Springfield -- it wants to be St. Louis without the culture but with the gangs.
St. Louis -- the city of history featuring vacant lots where century homes once stood and featuring nightly drive-by shootings. The county is a terrible mishmash of voerly rich town then overly poor town.
Jefferson City -- hot air capitol of the U.S. outside of Washington, D.C.
Columbia -- wonderful downtown but too much college town atmosphere.
Kansas City -- taps.

Right here in the Bootheel. Why? Because no one else wants to live here. It's not nearly as glorious as any other part of Missouri but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Nothing like going duck hunting in the swamps of Southeast Missouri. Makes me feel at home every time. I'm just a country boy so I'm not too hard to please I don't guess.

I'd either live in Clayton or the areas around Wash U. Or I'd live somewhere like Wildwood because it's naturally beautiful but close enough to St. Louis and all its amenities

I guess you usually come up the same time every year? No place like home
Oh and for the 2nd part of the question, I wouldn't live in the city limits of any town, no matter how small. I like rural areas and the space that comes with it.

Good deal. I don't know if my future will be in this great state but the city limits rule still applies.
