How do get a copy of my elementary school records. I can't get a copy of my birth certificate because it doesn't have anything depicting my date of birth. I can't get my drivers license renewed because I can't prove my birth date. Yes, all of this is true, and frustrating. the School no longer exist.

Were you born in a hospital in the United States? You should be able to get a copy of an official birth certificate from the state you were born in. If you were adopted, the court that handled the adoption should have court records which would substantiate your date of birth.

To answer your original question, I would write to the school district where the elementary school is to see if such records were available.

You could try contacting DESE--MO dept of elem and secondary education--and see what the protocol is for schools closing and what they do with their records.

I am a child born abroad from an American citizen.I have been living the past 28 years in Mexico.Both my parents are dead I am now 42 and I'm trying to get my American passport to reunite with my family.
